MOREDATA JOINS WITH EURTRADENET ALLIANCE

EurTradeNet Alliance is a federation of service provider companies related to Customs and International Trade, with a very strong focus on computing. Its aim is to create a set of services across Europe, supported on the following pillars:

• national partners' local know-how
• a global communication infrastructure based on the internet and on open standards
• standardized particular services at European level for those organizations involved in Customs and International Trade
  
  
  

MoreData - as one of the most experienced portuguese companies in custom releasing and international trade software, ever since 1984 - was bound to join a new set of similar companies from several countries in Europe, trying to provide their customers new services.

The first step on implementing EurTradeNet services in Portugal is creating a gateway to the ETN net, allowing those organizations operating under the Customs Transit Regime to exchange electronic data with their European partners, in a way that they save administrative resources and may react quickly in this kind of operations. The message exchange defined by ETN works with the data involved in the New Computerised Transit System (NCTS) and - at the same time - makes declarations easier, synchronising the available information to both operators. The system also spares the operators one of their major concerns, by lightening their warranty management.

After some time, the ETN net will endure the Import and Export regime - general services can also be anticipated, either the Customs is involved or not, making the data exchange among operators easier.
